Genís García Junyent, simply Genís (born 7 June 1975 in Sabadell, Barcelona, Catalonia), is a retired Spanish footballer.
Mainly a central defender, he could also operate as a defensive midfielder.

A product of FC Barcelona's prolific youth ranks, La Masia, Genís could only play five matches for the reserves during two second division seasons, due to a severe knee injury.
He resumed his career in the third level, with Catalan neighbours CE Sabadell FC, being an undisputed starter during his stay, and eventuall gaining club captaincy; due to constant physical ailments, now in the ankle, he was forced to retire in 2005.[1]
Genís' brothers, Óscar and Roger, were also footballers. All youth products of Barcelona, they had however different fates as professionals,[2] as his siblings went on to have relatively successful careers in the first division, including with Barça's first team.
